At Butiama & Beyond, we understand that plans can change. To ensure fairness for you and for the suppliers who prepare your safari, we have established the following cancellation policy:

  1. Cancellation Notice
    All cancellations must be submitted in writing via email to support@butiamabeyond.com. Verbal cancellations will not be accepted.
  2. Refund Schedule
    • More than 90 days prior to departure: 50% refund of total trip cost.
    • Between 60 and 89 days prior to departure: 25% refund of total trip cost.
    • Within 60 days of departure: No refund, and full payment will be retained.
    • No-shows and cancellations after travel begins: No refund for any portion of the trip.
  3. Trip Insurance
    We strongly recommend that all clients purchase comprehensive travel insurance that includes trip cancellation, interruption, medical expenses, and evacuation coverage. Butiama & Beyond is not responsible for losses due to cancellation, weather, border closures, or other unforeseen events.
  4. Supplier Policies
    Some components (such as flights, accommodations, and third-party transfers) may have separate refund and cancellation rules set by their suppliers. These may affect your overall refund.
  5. Changes & Amendments
    Any request to change booking dates or transfer reservations must be made in writing. Amendments may incur additional fees and are subject to availability.
  6. Refund Processing
    Refunds (when applicable) will be issued within 30 days of confirmed cancellation.
